Bill of material (BOM)

A Bill of Material - BOM is a list of raw material to be used in a production and the quantity of each material. In many ways the BOM works as a food recipe.

In many ERP-systems the Bill of Material interacts with the warehouse, so the lots are picked from stock according to the BOM. This setup also enables you to see whether there are enough raw materials in stock to carry out a production.

In tracezilla you can create bills of material. We call it Recipes, because it often concerns food. tracezilla’s recipes can furthermore have multiple end products. You can read more about Manufactoring and Recipes here.
